New Zealand
Our original itinerary was to spend a couple of weeks in Auckland and the North Island, then fly to Fiji for Christmas and New Year’s with the aim to come back for a further 2 weeks before heading on. However, as per usual our plans had to be amended, this time because of Cyclone Evans which hit Fiji just days before we were due to fly out.
As such, we ended up staying 60 days in New Zealand. During that time we did two campervan rental, one for 6 days as a trial and then one for 33 days in which time we toured both the North and South Island.

During our time in Auckland we ended up staying in the same place, City Travellers, and for the most part stayed in a studio apartment. However the last few days we were back after our campervan rental we had to stay in their dorms accommodation as they did not availability for the studios.

Breakdown of our costs in New Zealand:
The total we spent in New Zealand came to £5,643 for both of us. This included accommodation (eg. camp site fees), food, transport (two campervan rentals for 6 and 33 days) and attractions.
